Once defined the need that must be tackled, the “aim” of a project represents the concrete results a project want to reach. In other words, the aim is the overall intention of the project, the reason why the project was written and the outcome it desires to provide. In the case of Marmaduke, most of its projects strive to engage people in their free time, spreading creativity in the field of culture and music. Promoting musical events, Marmaduke aims to engage people in the cultural life of Seville, by letting Swing culture known by more and more people. Participating in European projects, allowed Marmaduke to enlarge his horizons, and to reach other goals linked with his main interest. The idea is that throughout the main business of the company, the production of musical events, some other “aims” can be reached. This is the case of one the last project Marmaduke was involved, Soundroutes. Soundroutes provides an opportunity for international musicians, who emigrated to Europe to perform within local communities and in collaboration with local artists. Several musical concepts were designed to support their integration into the social and professional environment of the host community. Therefore, the project aim was to integrate refugees through music performance giving them a chance to be included into the society, and Marmaduke offered his experience in the musical field to achieve this goal.
