Its budget of €14.7 billion will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, and gain experience abroad. Set to last until 2020, Erasmus+ doesn't just have opportunities for students. Merging seven prior programmes, it has opportunities for a wide variety of individuals and organisations. Detailed information on these opportunities, including eligibility criteria, is available in the Erasmus+ Programme Guide.

National level

The Civil Initiatives Fund (CIF) is a government grant programme for non-governmental organisations, under which projects aimed at increasing the involvement of citizens and non-governmental organisations in public life are subsidised. The grant can be obtained for a social project. The range of actions that can be implemented covers all areas of public benefit activity. As part of the Programme, four priorities have been specified:

The Civil Society Organisations Development Programme for 2018-2030 is the first ever direct support programme for the development of Polish civil organisations. Subsidies under the programme will be allocated to the institutional development of the organisation and the implementation of their statutory objectives.

The Solidarity Corps is a long-term volunteering programme which aims to provide comprehensive support for the development of a long-term relationship between volunteers and institutions using their services. The programme aims to contribute to the development of civil society through the development and implementation of solutions that will facilitate and encourage the systematic and long-term involvement of citizens in volunteering.

The Scout Movement Development Governmental Programme for 2018-2030 is a new form of support for scouting organisations, which are an important partner of the state in activities for the development and upbringing of young people. Scout activity is conducted according to the education system, referring to the achievements of scouting around the world and the Polish scout movement. This creates the possibility of comprehensive, modern and harmonious physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual development of children and youth.

Regional level

There are 16 regions/provinces (województwo) in Poland. Each province has a regional authority called Urząd Marszałkowski which provide support to NGOs which want to implment activities on the territory of that province. For more information go to the website of the Urząd Marszałkowski in your province.

Local level

Most Polish municipalities offer grants to NGOs and, due to a current legislation, the selection process is transparent. Grants offered by the municipalities are, in most cases, significantly lower than those given on a regional or national level, but it is also easier to work with a local authority than with the ministry or other nationwide institutions. There are several ways a municipality can support a youth work:
