The evaluation of a project is a process that analyses if the project objectives have been attended, and to suggest eventual improvements. Project evaluation is a systematic and accurate assessment of an ongoing or completed project; it aims to determine the relevance and level of achievement of project objectives, development effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability. Following international definitions, we recognise three types of project evaluation: 1) Pre-project Evaluation, realised before the start of a project, when the project viability of that project, 2) Ongoing Evaluation, that is crucial to monitor and evaluate the project while in progress to make sure it’s meeting the planned expectations, 3) Post-Project Evaluation, when the project is finished we outline what worked and what didn’t work to learn from your mistakes. As an experienced booking agency, Marmaduke has defined his own evaluation methodology during the years, which is represented by a quantitative and a qualitative side. In terms of quantity, the success of a concert is measured by objective data, such as the number of tickets sold, or by the number of CDs sold after the event. Besides, the quality of a music event is determined by the comments which come from specialized music magazines, art reviews and, in general, by the visibility the concert obtained.
